Grand Guardian Report on Supreme Session 2025
Per Article III, Section 2, MO-(x) of the Bylaws of the Grand Guardian Council, Job’s Daughters International, I hereby submit my written report of the transactions of the Supreme Guardian Council Annual Session held at the Renaissance Hotel in Glendale, Arizona from July 20, 2025 through July 26, 2025.
On Saturday July 19, 2025 I boarded a plane with my traveling partner, Sarah Watson, PGG. We landed at the Phoenix Arizona International Airport where we were greeted by Mom Katie Underwood, PGG and headed to the headquarters hotel to get ready for the “Bee The Change” Supreme Session 2025.
On Sunday we got the SAC 2026 sales table set up and ready to sell, sell, sell. Thank you to everyone who is able to take time out of their day to assist the SAC 2026 committee this year. I know they truly appreciate it!
We started off the Session with a Jurisdictional off-site dinner at The Vig. We had a good time with good food, and even better company. Some of us stopped for our first dose of Ice Cream and headed back to the hotel to help the Vice Supreme Guardian get her officer items ready to hand out.
Monday started performing arts, which we did not have any Daughter participate in, as well as Arts and Crafts check in, where Nora U from Bethel #12 submitted multiple arts and crafts. Our Miss Missouri, Jacquelyn participated in SBHQ and MIJD icebreakers. Two leadership workshops took place, where Missouri was definitely in both crowds. The Members also took part in the Jobie Congress where they discussed proposed amendments. Following Jobie Congress, there was a refresher for the Voting Adult delegates.
Tuesday started with Ritual competitions at 9am, where our Dual member McKenzie T, Bethel #29 competed in First Messenger and Teagan M, Bethel #7 competed in Fifth Messenger. There was another leadership workshop where our members attended and then it was time for lunch. Following lunch was practice for Formal Opening where Supreme Marshal Gabi and Supreme Rep Jacquelyn learned their responsibilities for Formal Opening. Some of us learned some etiquette with Chef Charles from Illinois, and some of us used it later in the week. Some adults and all of our members participated in the HIKE pizza party then joined the rest of us at the pool for some much needed relaxation and swimming. We interrupted swimming with an ice cream social and headed back to the pool for some more “schwimming.”
Wednesday I was able to join my other counterparts with the Supreme Line counterparts breakfast. We then attended the School of Instruction with the new Ritual. Here they showed the opening ceremony, stations and duties as proposed in the ritual revision, the obligation ceremony, and closing ceremony with all three formations and all three songs. I believe everyone learned something that day. Then it was time for lunch- all Job’s Daughter Luncheon and the PGG/PJG luncheon if you were inclined to purchase a ticket.
Wednesday afternoon kicked off for the adults with the first of four SGC Business meetings. This meeting started off with online amendments and ceremonies that had passed. Following the Business meeting was a refresher course of CAV and Your Role, this session had been attended by Mom Toni Underwood, PGG and I during the year when it was offered via zoom, so we chose not to stay for the entire lecture. The Supreme Bethel had a meeting rehearsal where Gabi and Jacquelyn were in attendance. Formal Banquet “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” was served and Formal opening began.
During Formal opening, awards were given where Missouri GGC received a Membership increase award, Dad Ashley Underwood received the Distinguished Order of Job’s Daughters award, which is a new award that was passed at Supreme Session 2025. Missouri members joining the HIKE $1,000 club included: Gabi K.
#19- $2,050, Nora U. #12- $1,292 and Teagan M. #7- $1,200. Congratulations to everyone! Following the formal opening, Missouri got together for the annual pizza party where we all wished luck to our Miss Missouri, Jacquelyn as she would represent Missouri during the Miss International Pageant on Thursday. Thank you to Grand Guide, Mom Tanja and Grand Marshal, Mom Eva for taking care of the party for us this year. Then it was time to head to bed.
Thursday morning started with the Men of Job Coffee and the start of the SGC Business meeting number two. Here we started with more amendments that were voted on, discussed, and eventually passed. Our Daughters attended a Fearlessly Kind Seminar, they seemed to enjoy it. The awards ceremony luncheon was to follow where McKenzie T. #29 received 2nd place in First Messenger, Nora U. #12 received 2nd place in Drawing and Photography categories and 1st place in Jewelry and Miscellaneous categories.
Congratulations to them! Missouri did not have a ritual team this year but we hope to be back next year.
The evening started with Jurisdictional Dinner, where the jurisdictions of the elected Supreme line all came together for dinner. It was a good time with good company. Then it was time for the Miss International pageant. While our Miss Missouri, Jacquelyn did not make the top 12, we are so proud of her and we would later see bigger things in her future. She definitely represented Missouri well!
Friday was the Supreme Bethel meeting where our very own Jacquelyn L was selected to represent Missouri as the Supreme Bethel Honored Queen and Teagan M was selected as Supreme Bethel Representative to Mato Grasso! While this is an amazing opportunity, it is even more special as Jacquelyn, PHQ #12 is the first Supreme Bethel Honored Queen from Missouri, she is serving with Miss Mom Kim, PHQ, Supreme Bethel Guardian.
#12 as her Supreme Bethel Guardian and Mom Katie, PBG #12 as her Supreme Guardian. Not something many will ever be able to say. Congratulations to everyone who participated. Jacquelyn, I know you will have amazing travels this year, I wish you all the best and Missouri will be here rooting for you and watching your updates.
Before Dinner we started with part three of the SGC business meetings where more amendments were discussed and the election results were given: Congratulations to the newly elected SGC line: Mom Katie Underwood- Missouri as Supreme Guardian, Dad Ken Bright- DelMar as Associate Supreme Guardian, Beatriz Vichiatto Figueiredo- Brazil as Vice Supreme Guardian, Mike Allen-Wisconsin as protem Vice Associate Supreme Guardian, Jamie Yeadon- Indiana as Supreme Guide, Brent Warwick- Nebraska as Supreme Inner Guard, Leslie Hoglund- Virginia as Supreme Marshal and Bryan DiMatteo- Minnesota as Supreme Outer Guard.
Friday night was the Royalty banquet followed by the Supreme Bethel Installation where we got to watch Jacquelyn be Installed as SBHQ and Teagan to be installed as a Supreme Bethel Representative. I know these ladies will serve Missouri well next year. Following the Installation was the Coronation Ball where the new SBHQ and Princesses are crowned with their traveling capes and crowns and a dance is held. I think everyone had a great time and it was fun being able to be front row while watching Jacquelyn getting her traveling set.
Saturday morning began early at 7am where we had to reconvene the SGC meeting for a couple of hours to finish the amendments. Once they were completed, we finished the last bit of the meeting and headed over for the Supreme Guardian Council practice. Not too many people get to say that they served the Grand Guardian Council while their lifelong Jobie sister and friend is serving as the Supreme Guardian. I know Mom Katie will do great things.
The Installation was very beautiful. There were plenty of Bears hanging out, and Mom Alison Bowser, PGG was installed as Supreme Chaplain. This installation brought the official Supreme Session to a close. Some got on the road, some to the airport, some of us headed to Texas Roadhouse where Mom Katie and SBHQ Jack took some pictures on the Texas Roadhouse saddle. Some of us stopped for Bruster’s Ice cream in Memory of Dad Bill Dinkmeyer, PAGG, PASG. Once we were back at the hotel, we got all of our things ready to head back to St. Louis. The 4:45am boarding time came quickly, thanks to Mom Linda Stokes, PGG we made it to the airport on time despite the highway being shut down due to an accident. We landed in St. Louis about 10am.
It was truly an honor to be able to represent Missouri at Supreme Session this year. While our jurisdiction of girls may have been small this year, they did not let that stop them! They all represented Missouri beautifully. I am proud to say I am from Missouri, and I cannot wait to see everyone representing Missouri next year at Supreme Session in Springfield, Missouri!
Jobie love and mine,
Heather Havens
