On Saturday, November 23, 2019, the Scottish Rite Valley of St. Louis and James H. Cockerham Priory will host the 2019 Scottish Rite Knighthood Youth Ball. The Missouri DeMolay Honors Night will commence at 6:00 PM with the Priory’s coronation of our Queen and her court immediately following. The Ball will begin after the completion of the program and conclude at 11:00 PM. The attire for the evening is formal.
In preparation for the 2019 Youth Ball, I would like to invite your Bethel or Assembly to select a young lady (or ladies) to compete for the title of Two Thousand Nineteen Scottish Rite Knighthood Youth Ball Queen. Candidates must be at least 16 and no older than 21 by the date of the coronation. They need not be a line officer, just a member in good standing. No majority members. Multiple candidates from each Bethel or Assembly are allowed. The young lady and a female adult chaperone (preferably her mother) will need to be available on the day of the ball beginning at 2:00 PM for interviews and rehearsals.
We are very excited about the festivities this year and look forward to hearing from the young lady (or ladies). Please have her contact Mom Betty Schumacher at bjrma@aol.com with her name, address, email and phone number by November 10th, 2019. The deadline is important so that Mom Schumacher can send the Queen candidate the application and information document, which she will need to complete and return prior to the Ball.
I hope to see each of you at the Ball and join with the Sir Knights of the Priory for an evening of fun and celebration. This event is the premier showcase for our Masonic Youth and we look forward to greeting you on November 23, 2019!
