Our adult leaders are members of the The Grand Guardian Council (GGC) of Missouri, which is the governing body of Job\u2019s Daughters in Missouri, and is headed by the Grand Guardian. The GGC consists of all current Executive Bethel Council members of Missouri Bethels, as well as Past Bethel Guardians and Past Associate Bethel Guardians. The GGC holds its annual meeting during the 3rd or 4th week in June. This is known as Grand Session. Lasting from Thursday through Sunday, the session is jam packed with a variety of activities for adults and daughters alike. The Grand Guardian Council Officers are elected and appointed at this session, as well as the GGC Committees, Deputies, and other appointments.<\/p>\n
Our youth leaders are members of The Grand Bethel of Missouri, which was founded in 1954 by Ruth Mary Leavitt and Judge Reginald Smith, who served as the first Grand Bethel Guardian and Associate Grand Bethel Guardian respectively. The Grand Bethel consists of Job\u2019s Daughters from around the state. The girls meet each year at Grand Session and elect a new Grand Bethel Junior Princess, who will in turn go up the line to become the Grand Bethel Honored Queen. In addition at Grand Session, a Jobie-To-Bee is chosen to serve as the Queen Bee.\u00a0 There are other Grand Bethel Officers and Representatives selected at the session as well. \u00a0The Grand Bethel also has an annual meeting called Mini Session. This is a fun weekend where all the Job\u2019s Daughters of Missouri have a chance to meet old friends and make new ones. \u00a0The Grand Bethel Trio, consisting of the Grand Bethel Honored Queen, Grand Bethel Senior Princess, and Grand Bethel Junior Princess, travel throughout the state bringing goodwill and friendship to all. They are also traveling in the path laid out before them by the Past Grand Bethel Honored Queens of Missouri. To all of them we owe a great deal, and we are honored that they have chosen Job\u2019s Daughters as a way of life.<\/p>\n
In addition to our Grand Bethel officers, we also have the Miss Missouri Trio, consisting of Missouri Job\u2019s Daughter, Junior Miss Missouri Job\u2019s Daughter, and Miss Missouri Congeniality.\u00a0These young ladies exemplify the virtues which each Job\u2019s Daughter strives to attain.\u00a0Each year, a pageant is held to choose the new Miss Missouri Trio. They are selected from Job\u2019s Daughters who come from across the state to meet in this friendly competition. The new Miss Missouri will later compete in the Miss International Job\u2019s Daughters Competition held each year at Supreme Session. Miss International Congeniality is also chosen at that Pageant.<\/p>\n
As with the Grand Bethel Trio, these girls often travel the state to visit the various Bethels as an embodiment of the ideals upon which Job\u2019s Daughters was founded.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
